This patent proposes a filter element for a storage tank liquid circuit filter, which ensures that the filter element's precision, surface quality, and pressure resistance all meet product specifications, and guarantees the stability of the filter element's quality and the quality of its welds. The filter element includes an inner ring, an outer ring, and a filter layer. The filter layer is a cap-shaped filter layer formed by stretching multiple layers of stainless steel square-hole mesh. Both the inner and outer rings are fixedly fitted onto the cap edge of the filter layer. A first annular process step is provided at the outer edge of the outer end face of the inner ring, and a second annular process step is provided at the inner edge of the outer end face of the outer ring. The edge of the second annular process step is flush with the edge of the first annular process step. The first and second annular process steps are joined together to form a welding groove. The cap edge of the filter layer passes through the welding groove, and the outer ring, inner ring, and filter layer are welded together in the welding groove using stainless steel solder.
